An agreement has been formed between networking product supplier 3Com Corp and interactive voice, video and data communications provider Polycom Inc.
Under the terms of the agreement both companies will work together to deliver the SoundStation IP 3000 - 3Com NBX phone. The new SoundStation IP 3000 is an IP-based conference phone that integrates with the 3Com NBX platform to bring VoIP technology to conference rooms using Polycom Clarity technology.
The SoundStation IP 3000 - 3Com NBX conference phone is scheduled for release in March 2002. The price has been set at USD999 with the 3Com NBX license costing USD100.
