Finally, Clearwire, the wireless broadband provider, has
entered the US VoIP market, albeit in a small way.
The wireless broadband provider recently rolled out its VoIP
services in Stockton,California.
It would be interesting to see how Clearwire competes against the likes of
Vonage, AT&T and EarthLink among other major players. How will it differentiate?
On price, many would say. The US VoIP is a tough place to be in at this moment.
Clearwire would be wise to market its service to business consumers
aggressively. Clearwire's advantage is
that it already serves its broadband service in 27 U.S.
metro areas and 200 cities.
Let us see how this wireless broadband cum VoIP service
plays out.
